With the strong integration between internal logistics and external transportation, the entire logistics process is streamlined, enabling Bostik to deliver on time and efficiently while optimizing collaboration with carriers.
With the TMS system, orders are automatically imported from SAP, allowing the logistics department to easily select the most suitable carrier based on costs and the optimal route. An important feature is the dock reservation system, which enables carriers to reserve a timeslot. This prevents peak loads at the docks and ensures streamlined scheduling.
By managing all information centrally through the TMS system, continuity and oversight are established within the logistics process. The system not only provides control over costs and flexibility in carrier selection but also supports the supply chain and production planning.
