Portals: for an integrated Supply Chain
Within the logistics industry, the already substantial requirements and standards are continuously rising. Here at Adaption, we understand this like no other. Communication between supply chain partners increases rapidly. In the past, all communication happened via e-mail or telephone. But these days, the involvement of Portals is growing, which makes sense. Communicating through Portals automates a large portion of the communication flow, resulting in increased efficiency. Automated processes within the system take over a lot of the e-mails usually exchanged between carrier and forwarder. Easily exchange documents and automatically link them to the dossier, for example, transport documents, customs documents, pictures, product sheets and more. In this blog, we explore the possibilities of Portals and their potential benefits.
Practical message and notification system
The clever message system enables you to send messages, either to align processes or to exchange documents. These messages are kept in the dossier, so all possible data is stored in a central location. The Portal also offers a notifications system. What notifications you wish to receive are easily pre-set in the configuration. The notification system is available for both you and your customer. It gives your customer insight into when stock is stored and enables you to configure a notification once your customer enters an order. This way, all data and communication flow through one channel, making it much more efficient.
